Equestrian

Jeff balances his business commitments with training and competing jumpers and developing equitation horses for resale. He competes at the biggest shows in the United States, including the national indoor finals. Jeff has also competed internationally.

# Jeff competes in the High Amateur Owner (up to 4'9") Jumper division as well as in Grand Prix classes (up to 5'3") . He has been champion at major shows such as:

  • Show Place,Chicago
  • Merrill Lynch, Cleveland
  • Circle City , Indianapolis
  • HITS - Culpeper, Virginia
  • HITS - Ocala, Fl
  • Chagrin Valley, Cleveland

He has been a ribbon winner at Harrisburg and Washington in the Amateur Owner Jumper division.

Vladimir is the Grand Prix horse of the future. He is a 9 year old Belgian. He graduated to the High Amateur Owner Jumper division in 2007. He also competed in several open classes and contested his first $25,000 class at Culpeper, Va. Andrev has been sold. He is an 8 year old Westphalen and has gone on to be a top level equitation horse, qualifying his rider for all the 2007 equitation finals. He was shown under the name MVP by his new owner.

Alpha Romeo is a 7 year old, 17.2 hand, Belgian Warmblood out of Concorde. Jeff competed him in the Low Amateur Owner jumpers and the Young Jumper division during 2007. He has Grand Prix scope and a snaffle mouth with beautiful flatwork.

 

Romeo was leased for the 2007 USET East Coast Finals at Gladstone and performed admirably for Mara Kranz who finished 42nd out of 80 of the top equitation horse/rider combinations in the country. She had only ridden him twice before the finals. He was 16th after the flat phase and was 38th in the show jumping phase.

Dollar is a 10 year old, 17 hand, Russian Warmblood just starting his equitation career.

History

Jeff's highest grand prix placing to date was at the $25,000 Prudential Grand Prix at Lamplight outside of Chicago with Beringer. Beringer and Jeff were partnered together for almost 10 years and qualified and competed at all the indoor finals. He competed at the top levels of the sport with Jeff and his trainer at the time, Aaron Vale. # 

2002 St. Louis Horse Show: both Jeff and Beringer's first G rand Prix. H e jumped clean and was 6th in the class. Shown here clearing the final 5'3" vertical, he won the $10,000 Welcome Stake earlier that week.
